The 4 Step Process to Creating Your Desired Life

With Author & Life Coach; Raana Zia

It is your birthright to be a conscious creator, because it is who you are and why you are here. Yes, you are a creative being. Everyone is creative. Believe it or not, you have the same creative power and abilities as anyone on this planet, including the most powerful world leader, the most successful businessman, artist, or scientist. I spent the majority of my career in finance, and many would assume if you are in finance, then you have more of an analytical mind than a creative mind. But the truth is, if you think you are creative. Your thoughts, intentions, desires, and beliefs, are always creating in the physical world.

“What your think you become. What you feel you attract. What you imagine you create.” – Buddha

Your thoughts, intentions, and beliefs are like energetic magnets and attract to you what you focus on and believe in your heart. Therefore, to create anything positive in your life, you need to consciously create it within yourself first. The only real work is your inner work. Therefore, mastering yourself in order to consciously create is a discipline and a practice. Like playing an instrument, you need to put in the time to practice. However, you will find with practice that you are more powerful than you ever knew.

In order to consciously create anything that you desire, the process is always the same. The only difference is the length of time it may take to manifest what you desire. It is important to understand that conscious creation is a process and there are specific steps needed in order to create most efficiently.

Step 1: Create a Clear Conscious Thought, Desire, or Intention

The first step is to decide what it is that you want to experience (a happy family, a successful meeting, a new job, clarity on your purpose, etc.). We often are so busy with our daily lives that we don’t take the time to consciously decide what we want to experience. In this step, you need to get clear on what is it you desire. Once you are clear, you then need to ask yourself - do you believe this is possible? You cannot get past step one unless your belief system is aligned with your conscious desire. A quick check to see if your beliefs are aligned with your desire is to feel if you have any doubt. If you feel doubt, then you know you need to work on building your belief before you move on to step two. All beliefs can be changed – this is your inner work. For example, it took me two years to build a belief that I could write a book. No one could do this for me, I had to consciously shift my thinking to believe in myself.

Step 2: Express Gratitude

Feel grateful for what you desire before you receive it. When you feel gratitude for something before you receive it, you have faith that you already have it and it will soon manifest. Feeling and expressing gratitude is the easiest way to align your inner energetic being with your desires. Bottom line, gratitude shifts your internal energy from a negative feeling of lack to a positive feeling of appreciation. With gratitude, you become a magnet that attracts to you what you are grateful for. Therefore, say “thank you” for your desire and mean it.

Step 3: Detach from Your Desire To create with ease and efficiency, you must detach from your desire. This does not mean you give up on your desire, but instead you feel like it is already yours. When you are attached, there is a feeling in your body of “striving” or “wanting” which puts your body in a state of unease. This feeling energetically blocks you from receiving what you desire. Instead you need to feel like you already have what you desire. You need to have faith and trust it will come into your life. A quick check is to close your eyes and see if you feel relaxed or if your body feels tense. Relax and know it is yours.

Step 4: Align Your Actions with Your Desire

In this part of the process, you need to go within and follow your instincts as to what action is required. Your inner guidance will tell you what you need to do next to realize your desired outcome. Notice the people, opportunities, and resources that show up to further guide and support you. Follow the flow of where you are being led. Be persistent thought obstacles and challenges. You will know when you are in the flow when the actions you take do not actually feel like hard work because you are moving in complete alignment with your desires.

Notice that steps one through three are internal requirements, and it is only at step four that external action is required. This means that before you take action, you must first see it in your mind, feel it, believe it, and trust that it is already yours. The truth is, often this is easier said than done, due to our conditioned tendencies, fears, or doubts. This is why it is important for you to clearly understand the requirements of each step in the process, and train yourself through discipline and practice. The more you understand and practice, the better you will get at consciously creating your life.
